The vessels in the new Jumbo 6500 1B series are characterised by their high efficiency and compact size. The absolute rectangular shape of the holds from tanktop to hatches offers the best possible loading options for a wide range of cargoes like steel, bulk cargoes, grain, forest products, project cargoes, dangerous goods and containers.
Measuring a good 118 meters long and 13 meters wide, the Jumbo 6500 1B is able to carry 6,500 tons. The ship’s remarkable operational efficiency is derived from the ideal combinations in the vessel’s design. This is characterized by good stability, an extreme high freeboard and a safe and practical low coaming height. The slender lines and the use of a heavy fuel oil installation result in a good speed and sea-keeping at a very low fuel consumption. The iceclass is 1B. The ship also boasts roomy, comfortable quarters for crew and a large engine room.
